Bay of Islands & Far North

Bay of Islands and Far North accommodation gathers baches and holiday homes around Paihia, Russell and Kerikeri, reaching north to Cape Reinga.

Paihia makes the natural base, with passenger ferries shuttling across to Russell’s waterfront verandas and the island-studded bay opening straight off the wharf. Kerikeri adds orchard country, weekend markets and the Stone Store basin, while Haruru’s falls sit ten minutes inland.

Past Kerikeri the winterless north stretches out: fish and chips on the wharf at Mangōnui, empty white sand on the Karikari Peninsula, and the long run up to the lighthouse at Cape Reinga. Hokianga’s dunes and kauri country fill the west coast road home.
