Picton

At the head of Queen Charlotte Sound, Picton accommodation puts the marina, the foreshore and the ferry berths within a couple of streets.

Baches and cottages look onto the water. The Snout Track climbs out of Victoria Domain to a long view down the sound, and water taxis leave the wharf for the Queen Charlotte Track. The Edwin Fox, built in 1853, is preserved on the waterfront. Ferry arrivals bring a rush of traffic, then the town settles.
