Foxton

Foxton accommodation sits a few minutes back from the coast, with baches behind the dunes at the beach settlement.

Where the Manawatū River meets the sea, whitebait nets go out in spring and the estuary alongside is a wetland of international importance. In practice that means godwits, oystercatchers and very few people. The beach itself runs flat and wide, with driftwood and a long stretch of sand to walk.
