Welcome to the Hidden Valley Farm and Sanctuary

Nestled in the stunning Tasman region lies a hidden gem often overlooked by those who pass by.

Perched high on Takaka Hill, Hidden Valley Farm is a peaceful sanctuary where country life, community spirit, and a few secrets create an unexpected and enchanting destination to add to your itinerary.

The valley is a harmonious paradise for nature lovers, offering a wealth of outdoor activities — from hiking and biking to bird-watching, climbing, and caving. Unlike the mainstream tourist trail, Hidden Valley offers an authentic and intimate Kiwi experience, surrounded by unspoiled beauty and calm.

The Sanctuary Experience

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our farm pet community, each with their own heartwarming story. The sanctuary leaves a lasting impression, offering visitors a chance to slow down, connect with animals, and enjoy the hidden side of the Tasman region.

Stay With Us

The Hidden Hamlet camping spot is a perfect exclusive family or small group stay, with two huts to sleep up to 7 guests, with options to add extra tents, and fully self-contained campervans are welcome at the bottom of the farm.

Pioneer Hut sleeps four or a family of five. Our camping huts are a do-it-yourself and an affordable option, and are designed for those who love an old-fashioned holiday, without modern tech, and immersed in nature. Have the comfort of a hut compared to staying under canvas, enabling you to travel light? Upgrade your package by hiring bedding, camping equipment, gas bottles, and more once you get here (or pre-order, and we can have it ready for you).

Pioneer Hut is in the proximity to our 2nd Hut, Settlers, which sleeps 2. By booking both huts, you have exclusivity. This also means you can add tents for a larger group if required.

Simply ask us for details, or see our website for more information.
