We have poured a lot of love into creating this little but comfortable retreat. There are many thoughtful details throughout the space that are difficult to describe, but our goal is for you to arrive, relax, and feel instantly at home.

The house has a warm, homely feel with double glazing, a large heat pump for heating and cooling, and excellent insulation from outside noise. It is a peaceful place to unwind after a day exploring Palmerston North.

Outdoor Bath Experience

One of the highlights of your stay is the private outdoor two-person bath. The bath area can be fully enclosed with tall retractable privacy screens, allowing you to relax in your own private space.

Enjoy a soak with complimentary:

Bubble bath or bath salts
Candlelight and fairy lights

The bath has a detachable shower head, which is convenient for washing your hair or cleaning your dog after an adventure.

Rain or sunshine, the covered outdoor deck allows you to enjoy the space year-round. Retractable screens provide extra shelter and privacy, while the fairy lights and feature lighting across the deck create a beautiful romantic atmosphere in the evenings.

We love dogs and want your furry friends to enjoy their stay too.

For your pet, we provide:

Dog bed
Food and water bowls
Dog puzzles
Treats (please let us know if your dog is joining you so we can prepare these)

Dogs are welcome inside if they are non-shedding breeds only. For other dogs, we are happy to provide an XL crate.

To help keep the property comfortable for all guests:

Please do not allow dogs on furniture.
Please do not allow non-shedding dogs to roam unsupervised inside.
Dogs left at the property must be quiet and not left alone for extended periods.
Please read the house rules before bringing your furry friend.
Privacy & Location

Privacy has been a priority. The unit is fully fenced with its own private gate. The fencing between the unit and the main dwelling is up to 2.2m high, creating a private and peaceful environment.

Please note:

There is a very small gap under the gate and beside it. Very small dogs (such as a Chihuahua) may potentially fit through. We have tested with a Maltese-sized dog, which could not fit, but smaller dogs may be able to.
The main dwelling is separately tenanted. Please do not disturb the tenants, as they are not involved with the Airbnb.
We live only a few minutes away and are available if you need anything.
Important Information
The ceiling height is 2.1m. Guests over 2m tall may need to duck in some areas.
The shower is a standard 90cm square shower, however the sliding door opening is narrower at approximately 40cm.
A security camera operates at the entrance/gate and car parking area for security purposes.
Default bed layouts are prepared in advance and may not be able to be changed for same-day check-ins or last-minute bookings.
House Expectations

Please treat our home with care and leave it as you found it.

This is a peaceful retreat:

No parties.
No excessive noise.
Please respect neighbours and keep noise to a reasonable level.

We hope you enjoy your stay, relax in the bath, listen to the rain on the roof, unwind under the fairy lights, and make the most of this unique little escape.

House Rules & Important Information

Please leave the property as you found it so we can continue providing a lovely experience for all guests.

This property is intended for quiet enjoyment:

No parties or large group events.
No commercial filming or photography.

Bookings must be made for the correct number of guests. Guests beyond 2 people incur an additional charge per person. There is a security camera operating at the entrance and carpark area for security purposes.

If additional guests stay at the property without prior approval, the additional costs will be charged and may be deducted from your bond.

The BBQ area must be cleaned after use. If additional cleaning is required, an extra cleaning fee may apply or be deducted from your bond.

A portacot and highchair are available upon request for a small additional fee.

Dog Friendly

Dogs are absolutely welcome, provided you and your dogs respect the property, neighbours, and future guests.

To ensure everyone enjoys their stay:

Dogs must be quiet and must not bark constantly or disturb the neighbours’ quiet enjoyment.
Please pick up after your dog’s droppings.
Please wash off any urine spots your dog creates outside.
Dogs must not damage the property, either inside or outside.
Shedding dogs must remain outside.
Only small, non-shedding dogs that are fully house trained may stay inside.
Dogs that are not house trained must remain outside.
No noisy dogs may be left alone at the property.
Dogs must not be left alone for long periods of time.

Any damage caused by your dog will be your responsibility, including the cost of replacement or repairs.

Any damage caused to the property by guests or pets will be charged accordingly, including any additional cleaning required inside or outside the property.
