Understanding Your Host Dashboard
The Host Dashboard on Bookably is one of two ways to manage your listings, bookings, earnings, and more. The other is the Host Assistant – a conversational interface that does the same things in chat. This guide walks through the dashboard; both stay in sync, so use whichever you prefer.
Two ways to manage your hosting
Bookably gives you two interfaces, and both work on the same underlying data:
- Host Assistant – chat-based. Best for quick edits (“change my pricing for January”), one-off questions (“which of my listings expires soon?”), and getting things done from mobile. Open it from the main menu under Host Assistant.
- Host Dashboard – the traditional admin (this article). Best for bulk work, direct field editing, and reviewing all your bookings and orders on one screen.
You can switch between them at any time. Anything you change in one is immediately reflected in the other.
Accessing the Host Dashboard
To get started, log in to your Bookably account and click on your user name in the main menu. From here, you will find everything you need to manage your properties, bookings, and payouts in one place.
Dashboard Overview
The dashboard provides a summary of your hosting activity at a glance. You can view key metrics such as your total orders and revenue for today, the past seven days, and the past month. A graph displays booking trends, helping you track your earnings over time. Additionally, you will find a direct link to Manage Payouts on Stripe, allowing you to review and handle your earnings effortlessly.
Managing Listings
Your properties are managed in the Listings section. Here, you can view all of your active listings, make edits to property details, update pricing, and adjust availability. You can also enhance your listings by uploading new photos, updating descriptions, and setting featured status for improved visibility. Each listing includes quick access to its calendar, where you can manage availability settings and block out specific dates as needed.
To feature a listing, click the star icon next to the property. This will take you through the checkout process to purchase the Featured Listing add-on, which boosts your property’s visibility by displaying it at the top of search results and on the homepage.
To set seasonal pricing, click the calendar icon on your listing to open the calendar view. Select a date range, then click the price tag button above the calendar to enter and save custom pricing for the selected period.
Calendar Management
The Calendar section provides an overview of your property availability. You can see booked and available dates for all your listings. This is a good place to see all your upcoming bookings across time.
Messages & Notifications
In the Messages section, you can communicate directly with guests regarding bookings and inquiries. This keeps all guest interactions in one place, making it easy to stay on top of conversations. Notifications within the dashboard keep you updated about new messages, upcoming bookings, and any necessary actions on your account.
Managing Bookings and Orders
Bookings
The Bookings section lets you manage reservations for your properties. You can see confirmed bookings, view guest details, and check the booking period. Clicking on a booking provides access to full details, including the total amount paid, number of guests, and options to send messages, view order details, or cancel the booking if necessary.
Received Orders
The Received Orders section contains records of bookings made by guests for your properties. Each order represents a reservation and its associated payment details. You can check the status of bookings, including processing, confirmed, or refunded. Clicking on an order provides a detailed breakdown of your earnings, including the subtotal, security deposit (if applicable), service fees, platform commissions, and bank processing fees. You can also download invoices and contact the guest directly for any necessary communication.
Placed Orders
The Placed Orders section tracks purchases you have made on Bookably. These may include Bookably plans, add-ons, or bookings you have placed for other properties. This section provides a full order history, including details of the product purchased, payment method used, and billing address. You also have options to download invoices, contact the seller, or dispute an order if necessary.
Payouts & Earnings
To manage your earnings, visit the Manage Payouts on Stripe section. Here, you can track upcoming payouts, view transaction history, and monitor your earnings breakdown. Ensuring your Stripe Connect account is set up properly guarantees smooth transactions and automatic payouts.
Account Settings
The Settings section allows you to customize your account details. You can update your profile information, such as your name, phone number, and email. Additionally, you can upload a profile picture, change your password, and ensure you have accepted the Host Service Agreement.
