Returning guests are your best guests. They know the house, they look after it, and they keep coming back. Bookably Loyalty turns that into a system: automatic discounts for repeat stays, set by you, applied by us.
Why it pays
On a commissioned platform, rewarding a returning guest means discounting on top of the fees you already pay. On Bookably there is no commission and your guests pay no service fees, so the discount you offer is the whole cost, and it is usually well below the channel fees a third booking through another site would carry. You are converting fees you both would have paid into a reason to come back.
Getting set up
1. Join. Open Loyalty in your account and tick Join Bookably Loyalty. We pre-fill a sensible ladder: 10% from a second stay, 15% from a third, 20% from a fourth onward.
2. Make it yours. Every level is editable. The highest matching row applies, so your top row covers every stay from that number onward. Discounts apply to your accommodation rate only, never to your cleaning fees, deposits, or extras, and they never stack with a length-of-stay discount (the larger of the two applies).
3. Show the badge. Once you join, your listings carry the Loyalty badge so guests know you reward returning visitors. Your discount levels stay between you and your signed-in guests.
Counting the guests you already have
Your returning guests did not all start on Bookably. Three ways to bring them in:
The loyalty card. Print it from Host Studio and leave it at the property. Guests scan it during their stay, and their next Bookably booking arrives with returning guest status. This is the simplest way to turn guests who found you elsewhere into guests who book you on Bookably.
Grant status directly. Know the guest’s Bookably account email? Add their past stays under Loyalty in your account, or just ask your Host Assistant to do it.
Import your guest list. Paste past guest email addresses into the import box. We store only a one-way fingerprint of each address, never the address itself, and we never email your list. When a matching guest signs up or books, their discount attaches automatically. If you would like to tell past guests yourself, there is a ready-made message to copy under the import box.
Your loyalty toolkit in Host Studio
Host Studio is where your printed and digital guest materials live. Open it from Host Studio in your account, or from the Host Studio tab on any of your listings. Once you join Bookably Loyalty, three of its pieces start working for the program automatically.
The loyalty card. A print-ready card that invites returning guests to claim their discount. It shows your current discount levels and carries a QR code guests scan during their stay to claim returning guest status. It is built for you from your listing and program settings: nothing to design, nothing to type. The tile appears in Host Studio once you join. Print it and leave it where guests will see it.
The welcome booklet. For program members the booklet’s back cover becomes the loyalty invitation automatically: the same pitch, your live discount levels, and the claim QR, styled to match the rest of the booklet.
The digital guide. The web guide guests open at your property gains a Bookably Loyalty section. During a stay guests can claim on the spot: with a Bookably account it is one click, and without one they leave a name and email and we create the account for them. Between stays the section simply shows what coming back is worth.
Worth remembering: printed cards and booklets show your discount levels as they were when you printed them; the digital guide always shows your current levels. If you change your ladder, reprint when it suits.
Day to day
Your Loyalty page shows every returning guest, their stays, and the discount waiting on their next booking. Your Host Assistant can answer the same questions in chat, show your settings, or credit a guest for you. Pausing the program takes one click: discounts stop for new bookings, existing bookings keep their agreed price, and your guests’ standing is saved in case you return.
