- Waipuke Park, on Maungatautari Road, has picnic spots, a playground, toilets and lake access, and its gates are locked from nine at night to seven in the morning in the daylight saving period and from seven in the evening to seven in the morning in winter.
- At Waipuke Park dogs must be on a lead from ten in the morning to six in the evening in daylight saving time and from ten in the morning to three in the afternoon in winter, and are not allowed in the playground.
