House accommodation across New Zealand means a whole holiday home to yourselves, in a town centre or on a quiet street a few minutes out.

A house suits families and groups who need more than one bedroom and somewhere to sit together at the end of the day. A kitchen you can actually cook in matters when there are six of you, and so does somewhere to leave the bikes, the boards and the muddy boots.

Houses earn their keep on longer stays and on trips planned around a date rather than a view: a wedding weekend, a family reunion, a slow week somewhere new. Being able to walk to a bakery and a park is worth more than it sounds, because not everyone wants to be in the car every morning.
