Host Studio turns your listing into a complete set of guest materials, automatically. It builds a live digital guide your guests open on their phone, plus a printable welcome booklet and a set of cards for the property, all from the details already on your listing. You pick a style, refine the words, and share or print. This article walks through everything in it.
The digital guide: the heart of Host Studio
The digital guide is a mobile web page for your property that guests open by scanning a QR code you leave out. It is always up to date, so there is nothing to reprint when something changes. It fills itself in from your listing and the content you edit, and it carries your chosen style.
What your guests see
Everything a guest needs for a smooth stay, in the order they need it:
- A personal welcome from you.
- Getting in and parking, so arrival is stress-free.
- Wi-Fi, with a one-tap button to copy the password.
- House rules and a good to know section for how things work.
- Your local recommendations, each with tap-for-directions.
- The nearest essentials (supermarket, dairy, fuel, cash) and emergency contacts, with tap-to-call and the address ready to read out to 111.
- A check-out checklist and a warm sign-off.
It finishes with a one-tap invitation to rebook on Bookably next time, with no service fees for the guest.
Sensitive details stay private until check-in
Some things should not sit on a page anyone could open. The Wi-Fi password, your exact street address, and the getting-in instructions only appear to a guest while they are actually staying. This works for Bookably bookings and for stays you have imported from Airbnb or another calendar, so the right people see the right details at the right time, and nobody else.
Always live, and flagged when it is ready to share
The guide is live the moment your listing exists, because it auto-fills from your data. Host Studio still tells you when it is complete enough to share, and which sections could use a look. You get a shareable link, a Copy button, a Preview as guest button, and a QR code. To leave a code out for guests, download the style-matched Digital guide card (see the print pack below) or print the QR.
The print pack: a booklet and cards for the property
If you like something physical in the property, Host Studio builds it from the same content, so it always matches your guide.
- An A4 welcome booklet: your complete guest guide in one polished document. Print it at home and leave it on the coffee table.
- A6 cards (a quarter of an A4 sheet): Wi-Fi, Check-out, House rules, Nearby essentials, Emergency, Digital guide, and Rebook. Print, cut them out, and stand them around the property.
The Wi-Fi card adapts to you. Enter your network name and password and it prints a scan-to-connect code, so guests join without typing a thing. Leave them blank and it prints with lines for you to write the details in by hand.
Every card and the booklet carry a QR to rebook on Bookably. The Digital guide card is the one to leave out if you want guests to open the live guide on their phone. Each item downloads as a print-ready PDF.
Make it yours: styles and themes
Host Studio comes with a set of styles you can switch between with one click. A style sets the colours and fonts, while the layout and the Bookably finish stay consistent, so everything looks designed rather than thrown together.
- Pick a ready-made theme: Modern, Elegant, Coastal, Heritage, or Berry.
- Or choose Custom and set your own brand colour and heading font.
Your style applies everywhere at once: the digital guide, the booklet, and every card. The previews update live as you switch, so you can see the look before you download or share. Style lives on the Host Studio page, kept separate from the content editor. The editor is for your words; the style picker is for the look.
Editing your content, once
Here is the part that saves the most time. You edit your content in one place, and it flows to the digital guide, the booklet, and the cards together. There is no separate copy to keep in sync.
Open Edit content and you will find your guide laid out as a simple list of sections, in the order a guest meets them:
- Welcome message
- Your home away from home (a short overview of the place)
- Getting in and parking
- Wi-Fi
- Good to know
- House rules
- Local recommendations
- Nearby essentials
- Safety and emergency (your phone, the property address, the nearest medical, and any safety notes)
- Check-out
- Thanks for staying
Every section starts pre-filled from your listing, so you are refining rather than facing a blank page. Local recommendations and nearby essentials are real places you search for, which lets the guide offer tap-for-directions and a QR for each. The nearest essentials come pre-filled from the map for you to check and adjust.
Mark each section as ready
When you have checked a section, tick Mark it as ready. Ready sections power your guide, booklet, and cards. Anything still unticked shows as Review, and the downloads and guide sharing wait until the relevant sections are ready, so you never share something half-finished by accident.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your guest materials, so the nudge to review each section before you mark it ready is there on purpose. One detail worth getting right: the property address needs a street number, because guests may read it out to 111.
Editing with the Host Assistant
If you use the Host Assistant, you can open and edit Host Studio without leaving the chat.
- Open it. Tap the Host Studio button on a listing tile, or just say “open my host studio”. The full workshop opens right inside the conversation, with the same editor, previews, and downloads.
- Draft with AI. Every writing section has a
✨ Draft with AIbutton. One tap and the assistant writes a first draft for that section, built from your listing details and anything you have already typed there. It improves what is on screen rather than starting from scratch. - You stay in control. The draft appears in the editor for you to read and edit. Nothing is saved until you press Save, and the section stays in Review until you mark it ready. The assistant never invents specifics like a lockbox code, a Wi-Fi password, or your address; it leaves a clear placeholder in square brackets for you to fill in.
There is a sensible daily limit on AI drafts (25 a day), which is plenty for setting up and polishing a guide. Each tap counts, including redrafting the same section, so you have room to try a few versions.
Editing without the Host Assistant
You do not need the chat at all. Every listing has its own Host Studio tab in your account, alongside Edit, Calendar, and the rest of the manage options.
- Go to your listings, open the property, and choose Host Studio.
- Edit your content, pick a style, preview the digital guide, and download the booklet and cards, all from that one page.
- You write the words yourself. The Draft with AI buttons are a convenience inside the Host Assistant; everything else works exactly the same here.
How it all fits together
- One set of content powers three things: the live digital guide, the printable booklet, and the cards.
- The digital guide is the star: always current, private about sensitive details until check-in, and reached by a simple QR in the property.
- A style sets the look across all of them, in one click.
- Two ways to work: from the Host Studio tab on a listing, or from inside the Host Assistant with AI drafting to speed up the writing.
- You are always in control: content auto-fills, you refine, you mark each section ready, and nothing shares or prints until you say so.
